Health Champions
Health Champions are local people who have been trained to support Westminster Health Trainers. Health Champions provide clients with information about Health Trainers and signpost them to other NHS and community services that will help them to live healthier lifestyles and access the support they need.
Health Champions are not as qualified as Health Trainers and as such are not able to work with clients on a one-to-one basis. However, they are a very important part of the Westminster Health Trainer Team and work hard to raise awareness of the service within the local community.
Health Champions promote the service at local health events, shopping centres, libraries, supermarkets etc and sometimes go from door to door to make sure people know about the benefits of Health Trainers.
